Amy Campbell, DNP graduated from Rush University with her Nurse Practitioner Doctorate. She got her Bachelors of Nursing from Loyola University and worked as a Psychiatric Nurse in child/adolescent inpatient Psychiatry, Emergency Room Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. She also has a bachelors in Psychology from Iowa State University and worked as a Mental Health Counselor before becoming an RN.
Amy believes in treating the whole person and understands there is a mind/body connection and mood affects behavior and vice versa. Medication management is an important piece to improve quality of life but works best with therapy and lifestyle improvements. Amy works to motivate patients to improve all aspects of their life and provides reflective, positive and empathetic care.
